Zero Waste Fashion Systems will be exhibiting at Fashion Footprints: Sustainable Approaches

I will be exhibiting my design work at Fashion Footprints: Sustainable Approaches (1 August – 21 November, preview 31 July), originated and organized by CCANW in collaboration with the Centre for Sustainable Fashion at the London College of Fashion. The exhibition is the first of its kind. It explores the idea of fashion and textiles acting as an interface between humankind and the environment. It intends to highlight the key problems and major environmental and social impacts that result from the fashion and textile industries. The project considers realistic solutions embedded in existing practice, and seeks to dispel the ambivalence that is so often associated with fashion and sustainability.

Stop motion animation demonstrating a zero waste solution for unsuccessful garments.

The two original garments are made by ASOS and were both reduced by 70% in the sale. The stop motion demonstrates how these garments could be upcycled three times into different, more desirable garments with no loss of quality to the fabric.
